!Link!Me 1.0 - Vehicle Enhancement Script - MANUAL

Upgrade your vehicle and unlock its full potential with the versatile !Link!Me script. This script allows you to enhance your vehicle's functionality and appearance by linking additional objects and creating custom attachments. Follow the instructions below to make the most of this powerful script:

How to Use:

  1. Backup your vehicle: Before proceeding, make a backup copy of your vehicle to ensure the safety of your original setup.
  2. Add the script and notecard: Rez the !Link!Me script and !Link!Me_Config0 notecard into the root prim of your vehicle.
  3. Link additional objects: Link the new objects you want to attach to your vehicle, ensuring that each object has a unique name.
  4. Adjust object properties: Position, size, and rotate the attached objects as desired to achieve the desired appearance.
  5. Update object descriptions: In each attached object's description, add the text "!link!me0" to indicate that it should be managed by !Link!Me.
  6. Dump object information: Type "dump0" in chat to gather the necessary information about your objects and store it in the !Link!Me_Config0 notecard.
  7. Hide and show objects: Use the commands "hide0" to hide the attached objects and "show0" to reveal them again.
  8. Enjoy your enhanced vehicle: You're all set! Experience a new level of customization and functionality with your upgraded vehicle.

Creating Object Groups: To create multiple groups of attached objects, follow these steps:

  1. Copy the script and notecard: Copy the !Link!Me script and !Link!Me_Config0 notecard into the root prim of your vehicle.
  2. Rename the notecard: Rename the copied notecard to "!Link!Me_Config1". Repeat this process for additional groups, using "2" for the next group, "3" for the one after, and so on.
  3. Follow the "How to Use" instructions: For each group, follow the same "How to Use" instructions outlined above, making sure to use the respective commands and notecards for each group.
  4. Add group identifiers: In the description of each attached object, include the respective group identifier (e.g., "!link!me1" for the first group, "!link!me2" for the second, and so on).
  5. Manage groups: Use the commands "dump1", "hide1", and "show1" for the first group, "dump2", "hide2", and "show2" for the second group, and so on.

If you are using groups, you need to add +1 for each group to the numbers.
 

Note: If you encounter an error when showing a MESH object without physics, ensure that the object's description includes the text "CONVEX" to enable proper functionality.
